The Yorkville Enquirer reported on Jan. 4, 1877 – “The gin house of Mr. Jeff Kirkpatrick near the Chester – York Co., line burned along with several bales of cotton.”

The address is unknown as to the exact location of the
Kirkpatrick home but it is recalled that it was a lovely home with handsome landscaping. Constructed by noted artisan and family member Andy Hafner, who lived close to the Kirkpatrick family, on what is in 2018, Blanton Road.
The Yorkville Enquirer of Sept. 13, 1893 reported that the contract has been let for the restoration of the Bullock’s Creek bridge at Good’s Mill. The contract is to Wylie Haffner and John C. Kirkpatrick for $150., they will use a great deal of the old lumber.”
