City Directories and History<\/span>:\u00a0<\/strong>An historic Carolina “I” house style farmstead sitting on the all important transit route of the mid 19th century.\u00a0 A route that included travels of CSA President Jefferson Davis, as he was fleeing capture at the end of the Civil War. Colton’s 1850’s map of the area, shows one antebellum house along this stretch of the Jones Ford Road, the Hollis Home.\u00a0 It is unclear if this is indeed the Hollis Homestead or not?<\/p>\n
