City Directories and History: “Charles Jones built this house about 1811. It is a two-story brick, ten-room dwelling, with 12-inch walls. The house has undergone many changes, but it is still occupied by descendants of the Littlejohn Family who bought the property when Charles Jones moved to Tennessee. The house is located north of Jonesville, South Carolina, just off the Union-Spartanburg Highway. The old house was a stopping place for the stagecoaches, and for many years the Post Office for Jonesville was located in this house. Charles Jones was the first Postmaster for the town of Jonesville.”
