Please enjoy this structure and all those listed in Roots and Recall. But remember each is private property. So view them from a distance or from a public area such as the sidewalk or public road.
Do you have information to share and preserve? Family, school, church, or other older photos and stories are welcome. Send them digitally through the “Share Your Story” link, so they too might be posted on Roots and Recall.

James said the man plowing with W.W.B.’s home in background could have been Fred Sears who worked for W.W.B.. James plowed with Fred Sears when James was only 12 or 13 yrs old.
Fred is buried at the Methodist Church in Townville.
James remembers Flora Bearden W.W.B’s daughter building a long chicken house between W.W.B.’s house & where the Oakway United Church is today.
James said he planted shrubs for Aunt Mary Bearden that is still in the yard today. He also recalls Nora White having chickens in Flora Bearden’s chicken house.
