Family History: The greatly intact Rosenswike farm, near McCormick, is a wonderful study of early 20th century rural living. The farm has retained most of their original buildings and the family has exhaustive memories of their lovely farm. “My parents names: James Miller Rosenswike, son of Samuel Ezra Rosenswike (1861 – 1932), (who was adopted by George Rosenswike and his wife Mary Silbert Rosenswike). My father died February 27, 1961. My mother’s name Lallage Moore Rosenswike, her family was from Alabama (how she and Daddy met is a book unto itself) died August 29, 1980. They are buried in Troy Cemetery, Lot 236. I belong to the Troy Cemetery Association, whose President is Frankie White. Most of the Rosenswike ancestors are also buried in this cemetery. In 1983, Ms. Rodine Russell wrote a nice booklet, An Excursion to Troy. It mentions my grandfather, Samuel Ezra, as being the surveyor if the area.” Martha R. Pascual – 2015
