It was located directly across the road from the current day U.S. post office in Blair. The speculation was that lightning ran into the upstairs room &amp; attic area where the fire started.<\/p>\n<p>This is the home that John Knox Ragsdale brought his wife, Minnie Calhoun McMeekin &amp; kids to during the late 1800&#8217;s, from Jenkinsville, SC. J.K. started a mercantile business in Blairs and in 1907, sold out to the Blair Frazier Company. J.K. uprooted to Greenville, S.C. for business ventures in livery stables &amp; one of the states first Ford dealerships, selling Model T&#8217;s. Son, Claude Hunter Ragsdale, Sr. stayed behind and started his own business ventures in Blairs. Ragsdale Jr., Marjorie Calhoun R. Weeks, Virginia Burrell R. Davis, John Knox Ragsdale, Beverley Burrell R. Rice, Edward Vernon Ragsdale, Helen Cubbison R.
