City Directories and History: The historic survey of Fairfield County recorded this historic home in 1983 and R&R does not know if it is standing in 2013. It appears likely this home was constructed in either the late 18th or early 19th century as a large one and one-half story (perhaps log) dwelling. RYR hopes other will contribute more to the site about the structure, family, and Camak family authors who once resided here. Perhaps the best known member of the family was David English Camak, the founder of Spartanburg Junior College.
This home was in the Mosseydale – Greenbrier area of Fairfield County. Mr. Camak wrote a column for the local Winnsboro paper called Mosseydale.
