City Directories and History: This lot once had the Richard Winn Academy here. It was built around 1895 by John W. Cathcart, a Winnsboro banker. The home was the location of the Richard Winn Academy and was demolished in the early seventies for the McMaster Enterprise office building.
Other family members living here were Ella and Carrie Cathcart.
