City Directories and History: The Martin house, an excellent example of late 19th century architecture was reported to have been constructed in circa 1887. However, it appears to R&R that this dwelling maybe a mid 19th century dwelling with substantial updates. It is often refereed to as the Frazier or Rev. Malcomb Frazier home. It was Mae and Mattie Martin who did extensive plantings in the yard which were enhanced by Bob and Linda Malone. Other occupants of the home have also included Fred and Margie Craft.
Unfortunately, much of the overgrown grounds of this dwelling were razed by the owners in June of 2013 removing over a hundred years of historic plantings as well as the old picket fence along South Garden Street. R&R hopes someone retains copies of the planted yard and will share this information.
