|Dornsville or Dorn’s Mill P.O. – the RH Herald reported on Sept. 2, 1880 reported – “the PO Dept. has changed the name of the Dorn’s Mill PO in Edgefield Co., to Celestia P.O.”|
|Gaines PO – the RH Herald reported on Oct.28, 1880 – “There are two new POs in Edgefield Co. they are named Lela and Gaines and they are on the route between Elmwood and New Market.”|

The Rock Hill Herald reported on Dec. 3, 1902 – “Ms. Wilmouth Jackson of Newport (York Co., S.C.), has gone to Longmire in Edgefield Co., to assume charge of a school.”
