City Directories and History: The Elmwood – Ouzts House…. Conrad Martin Lowrey was born 11 Mar 1797 and died 24 Mar 1860. His obit as published in the Edgefield Advertiser states: Conrad Lowry died at his residence in Edgefield District on the morning of March 24, 1860, aged 63 years. He was baptized at Little Stevens’ Creek Baptist Church, about the year 1822, by the Reverend Basil Manly. He leaves a wife, two sons and three daughters. The Edgefield Advertiser, April 4, 1860: His wife Amina Hamatul Gaines who was born 6 Feb 1799 and died 15 May 1879.
