City Directories and History: This church was built in 1861 but had been established earlier in 1832. The building was brick veneered in 1938.
Note that J.W. Carter or J. Wesley Carter is buried at the church cemetery. He served with the CSA Co. B., S.C. Volunteers and is proudly listed on their roster. See data this page!
