City Directories and History: This is a massive map of early landowners and grantees encompassing the area along Fishing Creek and the greater Richburg area of Chester County, S.C. It consists of over four hundred landowners and names historically associated with the area.

The Yorkville Enquirer reported on Feb. 1, 1888 – “The dwelling house of Henry Nunnery in Eastern Chester County has burned, destroying all household items, a large quantity of flour and seven hundred dollars in cash. Mr. Nunnery is 75 years of age.”

Historian Harvey S. Teal’s Post Office Data in S.C., states: “McCully’s Store Post Office was run by Francis McCully from ca. 1821 – 1825.” Also, “Richmond’s PO is listed as operating from 1812 – 1821, James Richmond – Postmaster.” Mr. Teal also notes that Thomas White is the Postmaster at White’s Mill Post Office, see R&R for Lando….
