City Directories and History: The McCrorey family home was built around 1908 by John Turner McCrorey (1858-1938) who moved his family from the Rossville community when he became a rural mail carrier in Richburg. He was married to Sarah Wylie who died in 1901. The home remained in the McCrorey family until after the death of Lewis Leon McCrorey’s widow in 1996.
