City Directories and History: 1908 – W. Y. White and Lizzie White, (Salesman at Joseph Wylie and Company), 1940 – John J. Hoke, – 1958 Vacant – 1978 – No Report
Note historically this was #141 and not #139 as it is listed in 2012. The individuals listed are for #141. Note similarity in construction details of this house and the Cross home at #105 Saluda Street. Both featured decorative gable barge-board designs, an extremely popular feature as part of the Gothic Revival movement, as was board and batten siding.
Mr. W. Y. White was a clerk at Joseph Wylie’s store on Main Street.
