City Directories and History: 1908 – Z. V. Davidson, 1940 – Francis S. Chance, 1958 – Malcolm L. Marion, 1978 – Wilbur C. Runyan
This lovely home on Saluda Street appears to have been constructed by a railroad dispatcher, by the name of Zeb V. Davidson, in circa 1905. The Davidson family continued living here for decades. It is best known as the Runyan Home. The family owned and operated the very popular Runyan Jewelry Company on Chester’s downtown hill.
