City Directories and History: 1908 – S. E. McFadden (Attorney @ Agurs Building), 1940 – Robert Frazer, Stinson W. White, 1958 – Stinson W. White, 1978 – Stinson W. White
Built in circa 1901, for local attorney Samuel E. McFadden, the home was originally called, “Erin”. This home features Tuscan Columns, which form a gazebo effect. It also has a two-storied bay window on the front. It was later owned by Robert Frazer, “Uncle Bob”, Mayor of Chester, who was born in Ireland. Originally, it was said that the green color of the exterior together with name “Erin” recalled his Irish heritage. Remains of Victorian iron fence on property line can bee seen even in 2012. This home was one of many constructed by local contractor, J. C. Carpenter. ( See numerous home built by Mr. Carpenter on York Street, including the S. M. Jones house.)
