The Manning Times of March 3, 1886 contained an ad – “Turbo, Hinson and Co., factors and commission merchants in cotton and navel stores located at Brown’s Wharf.”
City Directories and History: This ad ran in the 1882 Charleston City
Directory but it did not provide an address beside’s Brown’s Wharf.
