Making connections with professionals across S.C.
On Friday of last week, Roots and Recall was a sponsor of the 18th S.C. Preservation Conference at the S.C. Dept. of Archives and History. We not only enjoyed participating but were somewhat overwhelmed with the generous remarks made by the keynote speak on R&R’s place in preservation! Input from individuals who for the first time explored the website’s content were also very rewarding. We look forward to returning each year to expand on this very positive conference, one well worthy of your participation!
Three From the Porch blogs you might have missed:
It seems several communities – museum are now re-thinking about using R&R for their preservation needs, due to their better understanding of our security and use of their cultural materials. Remember, R&R does not sell photographs or distribute them! Inquires related to the use of images displayed on R&R are confidentially referred to the donor-owner for their determination as to the best use of the materials.
R&R Thanks – We would also like to sincerely thank Tim McFalls, R&R’s dedicated intern from Winthrop University during the past five months for the outstanding contributions he has made, helping better communicate with our R&R audience! He has been a wonderful contributor and we look forward to working with other interns from college programs across the region. Have you become a member of Roots and Recall yet?
