City Directories and History: The Sullivan brothers who founded and operated the hardware company lived here for many years. The Anderson Historic District has added information on the city’s heritage and this building.
Known locally as the Nimrod K. Sullivan House built in ca. 1870, a simply country design that has lasted over the years as one of Anderson’s cherished piece of architecture. The Sullivans operated the hardware co., which was once of the state’s largest for decades. Betty Sullivan was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nim Sullivan and grew up here. The fence was added in 1984.
