City Directories and History: A large area along what would become the Boulevard, was cut into city blocks, each containing four acres. Mr. Dexter Brown purchased a four acre tract from Mr. Fred Brown, no relations, and hired local architect, Mr. C.B. Casey to begin work. Building foreman, Mr. Geer, completed the magnificent dwelling in 1910.
The Brown’s son, Dexter was killed in WW II.
