City Directories and History: 1958 – William B. Turner, Andrew W. Pennington,
The W.B. Turner home was built in the late 1930’s. W.B. “Willie” Turner a local merchant, in Blacksburg, resided here with his wife, Alethia. Additionally, Willie was a charter member of the Blacksburg Rotary Club and they had four children. The couple lived in the home up until her death in the 1990’s. Mr. Turner would then move to a nursing home in Rock Hill.
The four children are as follows:
William B. Turner, Jr. – Born 1929; currently resides in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Thomas Turner – Born 1933; currently resides in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Richard Turner – Born 1935; currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama.
Alethia Turner Skinner – Born 1937; currently resides in Lexington, North Carolina.
